Our Story

Shingetsu 3 was originally conceived as a way for the founder to pay homage to her Japanese heritage and instill it in her two young sons. During her childhood, a close Japanese friend affectionately called her "Tsuki," meaning "Moon." Building on this, the name "Shingetsu," which translates to "New Moon" in Japanese, was selected.

The wolf and the cricket depicted in the artwork serve as symbols of her two sons, and were rendered in the traditional Sumi ink style by her long-standing Japanese friend who bestowed her with the nickname "Tsuki."
